Bachata Festivals
Israel & Abroad
Congresses, weekenders, group trips, and the world's best bachata events
The Festival Experience
Bachata festivals (also called congresses) are multi-day dance events that bring together hundreds or thousands of dancers for an immersive experience. They typically include workshops with international artists, spectacular shows and performances, social dancing rooms that run until sunrise, and a vibrant community atmosphere.
For many dancers, attending their first congress is a transformative experience. The concentration of talent, the energy of hundreds of passionate dancers, and the opportunity to learn from world-class instructors create an environment that accelerates your growth and deepens your love for the dance.
Israel has its own congress scene, and Israeli dancers are also active participants in international festivals. Several organizers run group trips from Israel to major events abroad, making it easy to join the global bachata community.

Tips for Your First Congress
Pace Yourself
Congresses run from morning to 5am. You cannot do everything. Prioritize workshops you care about most, and save energy for social dancing at night — that's where the real magic happens.
Bring Dance Shoes
Good dance shoes make a huge difference on congress floors. Bring at least two pairs in case one gets uncomfortable. Also pack comfortable shoes for walking between events.
Stay Hydrated
Hours of dancing in packed rooms means serious dehydration. Carry a water bottle, pack energy snacks, and take breaks. Your body will thank you on day three.
Be Open
Dance with everyone — different levels, different styles, different backgrounds. Congresses are the best place to expand your comfort zone and discover new aspects of the dance.
